Cartier’s Rotonde Astro Tourbillon comes in an 18kt rose or white gold case measuring 47mm. It has a sapphire crystal front and back and is water resistant to 30 meters. The Rotonde Astro has a manual-wind Cartier in-house caliber 9451MC movement with 23 jewels, beating at 21,600bph and also a power reserve of 48 hours.
Richard Mille Aerodyne Dual Timezone comes in an 18kt rose or white gold, or in titanium case and measures 48mm x 40mm x 14mm. Both crystals are sapphire and it comes on an alligator strap with matching buckle. The movement is the manual-wind Tourbillon caliber RM022 with dual time zone, power reserve and torque indicator.

This jubilee model has a bezel containing a hidden winding function. For a sporting model, to have the minute repeater’s push-piece extend out was notably risky for it might get caught and potentially damage the mechanism. For this, a specific bezel was constructed the winds the minute repeater function by rotating the bezel 27 degrees clockwise.

Cartier is going to unveil its new Rotonde de Cartier Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch at the upcoming SIHH 2010 trade show that starts on 18 January 2010.
The watch has a flying tourbillon with an exclusive Cartier caliber 9455 MC hand-wound movement which rests inside the skeleton dial. Cartier plans to limit the production of the Rotonde de Cartier Flying Tourbillon Skeleton watch to only 100 watches significantly increasing its future value on the collector market.
