F.P. Journe announces a new model in their line of watches, the Vagabondage II. The case, available in rose gold and platinum, is limited to 69 pieces and 68 pieces respectively. The case measures 45mm and houses a manual wind FP Journe in-house caliber 1509 movement in 18kt rose gold with 30 jewels beating at 21,600 vph. It has a power reserve of 40 hours.
Swiss watch maker Hublot has produced a series of 12 unique watches (in exclusive boxed sets) with musical group Depeche Mode. Proceeds of the auction of these timepieces will benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust. This event will take place on February 17, 2010 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This will be the 10th season of concerts organized by the charity Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).
Each box contains a deluxe vinyl version of the album, a USB Key containing a digital edition of the album and documentary about the making of the album, an original album artwork print and a framed gold CD. In addition each box will have a photograph signed by all members of the group who contributed to the album including Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder.
This limited edition watch, of 100 pieces, has an 18kt rose gold case measuring 42mm. It has a sapphire crystal and display back. The EOS Chronograph has an automatic Swiss ETA caliber Valjoux 7750 movement with 25 jewels. It is water resistant to 30 meters. A diamond bezel is optional. The Maverick II Chrono “Pacman” Limited Edition retails at Php22,800 ($495USD) and every purchase comes with a glove signed by the legendary boxer. Only 1000 of these timepieces will be released in the Philippines, making the Maverick II Chrono Pacman Limited Edition a true collector’s item and a fitting tribute to the people’s champion.
Vacheron Constantin will release 20 sets per year of these limited series collection watches. Each set will house 3 magnificent timepieces associating both technical and decorative virtuosity with accuracy.
The Métiers d’Art collection comes in a 18kt rose or white gold case coated with Japanese maki-e lacquer. It measures 40mm and is water resistant to 30 meters. The watches use a manual-wind Vacheron in-house caliber 1003 SQ movement. The movement is skeletonized, done in 14kt gold, ruthenium treated and stamped with the Geneva Hallmark. It has 18 jewels and a power reserve of 30 hours.
