Edox-Class-1-Ice-Shark
The Edox Class 1 Ice Shark is powered by a Ronda-5040.B-based “Edox 10? quartz chronograph movement with a theoretical battery life of 4.5 years. This is the first Ronda’s electric-powered caliber featuring a big date display. While the original caliber features a rather standard tri-compass layout, this one comes with only two -small seconds and 30 minutes- counters, throwing away the 10 hours sub-dial.
The movement is also pivoted 180 degrees about the vertical axis, so that its crown and the pair of pushpieces moved from the traditional right side of the watch to the left.
The case of the Ice Shark is stainless steel with black PVD coating. It measures 45mm x 16mm, has a sapphire crystal, and is water resistant to 1,000 meters.
The control buttons are located on the left, while the limited-edition number is engraved on the right flank. Surrounded by a black ceramic bezel, the numerals and markers stand out in white and orange. The black dial provides an excellent contrast with the sub-counters which are outlined in orange and one of which features the silhouette of a shark.
Limited to 1,000 pieces.
