Since March 2007, when it launched its partnership with the famous Italian motorbike MV Agusta brand, JeanRichard Swiss Watch Manufacture has without interruption restated and proven its commitment to the pulsating world of motor cycling. It was therefore no surprise that the brand concluded a partnership agreement with Giacomo Agostini - nicknamed Ago – who during his seventeen year career has won no less than fifteen world championship titles, ten titles on the Isle of Man and 123 Grand Prix. In the 1960 and 1970’s, Agostini became the first great star ever in the world of motor cycling, racing on 350 cc or 500 cc machines; he was the man to beat.

In order to celebrate this exceptional Ambassador, JeanRichard this year comes up with a remarkable time-keeper: The Bressel 1665 Chronograph Rattrapante Foudroyante “Ago”: produced in a limited number of fifty pieces, with either a silver or a black dial, its case is in palladium - a precious metal part of the platinum family - and it is enhanced by a “vintage” brown strap, procuring it a slight rebel masculine look. Fitted with an automatic winding mechanical movement visible through a transparent case-back displaying Ago’s signature, the Bressel 1665 Chronograph Rattrapante Foudroyante “Ago” is one of the most spectacular complications of Haute Horlogerie: a jumping split seconds Chronograph, capable of measuring times accurate to one eighth of a second.

BorgeauD SA introduces the world’s first Swiss watch with a Rahu Kaal complication. The Rahu Kaal is explained in the Panchang, one of the world’s oldest almanacs. The Rahu Kaal is a daily 90-minute sequence that occurs at different times each day of the week and is viewed as having a profound effect on all decision making. The Rahu Kaal is generally avoided when key decisions have to be made.

During the 90-minute Rahu period, activity does not cease. Nothing stops. However, the time for decisions takes a pause. Important functions and occasions, the signing of a contract, the conclusion of a deal or an investment, meetings, be they private or public, personal or social are timed to work around the Rahu Kaal.

You are invited to Rethink, Reassess, Rahu, Review, Reflect, Reconsider and take a Rendezvous with yourself.

It is a way of life…

The watches are limited in edition and available in both men’s (automatic) and ladies (quartz) models, ranging from classically elegant to sportive designs.

The Gravitas Collection is crafted in Neuchâtel, Switzerland and housed with a Soprod movement. Soprod SA developed the Rahu Kaal complication exclusively for BorgeauD. Pricing begins from €1,750.
